"Christie is friendly, motivating, very approachable  and has a great knowledge of fitness.

I currently do a weekly PT session with Christie, each week she mixes it up with different exercises, always explaining in great detail how to carry the exercise out safely and what muscle group they are working, she encourages me to move out my comfort zone and try new techniques. "I started personal training with Christie in October 2022, I reached out to Christie because I was extremely unhappy about my weight, I wasn’t sure what to do, I was going to the gym and doing the same thing over and over and was only noticing small changes. Christie found out what my goal was and listened and took it on board and we went from there.

"I was diagnosed in 2019 with type 2 diabetes and my reading was 76 at the time. I was not looking after myself really until August 2021 when I started working with Steph.

In January 2022 this reading dropped to 56 and then in June 2022 I got the best news ever! It dropped to 37, which meant I am now no longer classed as type 2 diabetic. This is all down to a good exercise regime, increasing my step count and a more balanced approach in my diet.

We took little steps at a time, never changed everything at once. The best thing is: I still have some chocolate every day!" - Victoria

 

"Never thought I would enjoy the gym until I joined Xcite and started having PT sessions with Steph. We have agreed goals that are attainable. I have quickly increased weights in each exercise. Steph is full of encouragement and support both during my sessions with her, and checking in that everything's ok during my own gym visits, as well as when I'm not in the gym.

Steph has introduced me to the idea that no food is off the menu or banned. She has helped me look at my eating habits and has totally changed my perspective when it comes to eating what I want, within reason. Advising me to track my calories and protein has been the best advice ever!! I've spent over 30 years 'dieting' and finally I'm enjoying food,  enjoying exercising. And NOT dieting as such!

"I've been having 1-1 PT with Lisa for a few weeks now. I both love and hate every session. Lisa brings great variety every week and has taught me that you can tailor exercise to what you enjoy (or hate less in my case!). I will never be a fitness freak and Lisa has really had her work cut out with me but I have found exercises that I like and feel comfortable not just in our sessions but to go to the gym alone which was a big barrier for me in the past. “When people think of a personal trainer, they should think of David. His knowledge when it comes to the gym is absolutely mind blowing. I've been training with David for a good few months now and he makes me train to the best I possibly can. He analyses each rep to make sure you are doing it perfect. If I’m the smallest millimetre out of perfect form, he'll advise me so I can get the strongest rep I possibly can and prevent any potential injuries. David makes the gym fun, he is the biggest believer for all of his clients. He wants every single person to train to their best and he will make sure he tries to achieve that. “For the past 6 years I've been struggling to lose weight no matter what I tried, so I bit the bullet and asked David for guidance and a work-out plan, I followed everything he sent me over following the workout he planned for set days and soon enough I started losing the weight it took me years of trying to shift! I started at 86kg and before I knew it I was 67kg which allowed to me qualify for IVF to have my daughter who was born only 4 weeks ago without David’s help it wouldn't have been possible and I've still managed to keep the weight off!
