Will children be socially distanced during swimming lessons?
We are encouraging social distancing between the children in the lessons, however, guidance states this is no longer necessary. Our teachers will be teaching in a new way to enable this.
Why are teachers advised to teach from the side, but parents are allowed in the water?
To allow maximum pool space for the children in the lesson, teachers will only enter the water in the case of an emergency. In line with recommendations from Scottish Swimming, this is also viewed as the safest way to teach.
Parent and Child classes have been reviewed to allow more tank space to permit social distancing between the adults.
Will there be access to the spectator areas?
Spectator areas are now open at Xcite Bathgate and Xcite Armadale. Please contact reception to find out about other venues spectator access.
