From Monday 7 June, Xcite Whitburn’s restricted ‘Family Sessions’ will be replaced with general ‘Swim Sessions’ giving all swimmers access to the WHOLE pool without roped off sections. As with all our activities, all swimmers are asked to follow social distancing guidelines.

These 40 mins swim sessions (+20mins for changing) will run at 15 minutes intervals to allow a steady flow of swimmers access to the pool, all within current guidelines and capacity allowance.

All swimmers will need to pre-book their session individually, including children, to secure their space in the session. This can be done via the Xcite App or by calling Reception T: 01501 229210.

Lane Swimming sessions will continue at the same times and are not affected.

A ‘Family Swim Tank’ session will be available to pre-book, which is exclusive use of the teaching pool for a family up to 5. This can be booked under 1 person with remaining swimmers paying on the day. Note, this booking only allows access to the Teaching Pool and not the Main Pool.

As we move down the levels and restrictions ease, we are piloting swim sessions at Xcite Whitburn before reintroducing these sessions at other Xcite pools. This will help improve access for the community to ensure you don’t miss out on your swim. Many other swimming pool providers have already introduced unrestricted swim sessions. We continue to follow guidelines and best practice to ensure the safety of our customers and staff at all times.
