‘My name is Suzanne McAdam I am the Facility Manager at Xcite Bathgate. I have worked with many great colleagues, one of which was Claire Hannan, a lifeguard at both the old pool and more recently the new pool here at the sports centre. Claire worked for West Lothian Leisure for around 18 years.
Unfortunately, Claire passed away from Cancer on Boxing Day 2017 leaving many family, friends, and colleagues. I would like to honour Claire’s memory by raising money for the charity that helped Claire and her family and many other families who need them at a very hard time in their lives – McMillian Cancer. They did an absolutely brilliant job and I am sure Claire would be happy for us to support them in her name.
To do this, I will cycle 66 miles around Loch Ness in the closed road Loch Ness Etape on Sunday 29 April 2018. I currently teach indoor cycling here at Xcite and have many people supporting and helping me reach a fitness level to be able to do this cycle. I am currently training twice a day Monday to Friday at Xcite Bathgate and I am determined to do the best I can.
I have set up a just giving page to raise as much money as possible for the McMillian Cancer and have a target of £500. Please help me to raise as much money for this great charity as possible as we pay tribute to Claire and help others in a similar position.
