We’re on the lookout for an energetic, creative and driven Gymnastics Development Officer to take our Gymnastics Programme to new heights!
This isn’t just a desk job - you’ll be leading from the front, shaping exciting programmes, inspiring coaches, and creating unforgettable experiences for participants of all ages and abilities.
Working closely with our Sports Development Officer (SDO) and Sports Development Manager (SDM), you’ll play a key role in growing participation, developing talent and making sure everything we deliver is high-quality, engaging and built to last.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead, Grow & Inspire
Drive the success of our Gymnastics Programme — boosting participation, progression and retention
Spot new opportunities to grow income, improve efficiency and keep things fresh and exciting
Turn data and customer insight into smart decisions that make a real impact
Plan a vibrant annual calendar packed with classes, events, festivals and holiday activities
Work with marketing to get more people discovering and loving gymnastics
Occasionally step onto the floor and coach — showing exactly what great looks like
Build an Amazing Team
Welcome and mentor new coaches, helping them hit the ground running
Support and develop a high-performing, motivated coaching team
Keep track of qualifications, safeguarding and CPD (we love a well-organised spreadsheet!)
Help identify training needs and support personal development journeys
Be part of regular 1:1s - supporting performance, wellbeing and growth
Carry out quality assurance reviews to keep standards sky-high
Share Your Skills
Lead and deliver coaching courses, workshops and CPD sessions
Create a dynamic education programme that supports both learning and income
Deliver engaging training that inspires coaches at every level
Keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes — from bookings to certifications
Connect & Collaborate
Build strong relationships with clubs, schools and governing bodies
Stay ahead of industry trends, safeguarding and best practice
Represent us at events, meetings and forums - sharing ideas and learning from others
What You’ll Bring
A passion for gymnastics and developing people
Strong coaching knowledge and technical expertise
Experience in programme delivery, performance tracking or development roles
Confidence working with data, people and new ideas
Great communication skills and a team-first mindset
A proactive, can-do attitude (and maybe a love for a good cartwheel!)
