Xcite Bathgate is seeking an ambitious, customer-focused, and commercially minded Deputy Manager to support the operational leadership and continued growth of one of West Lothian’s leading leisure facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leisure professional to play a key role in driving operational excellence, increasing participation across our core products, developing community partnerships, and supporting the achievement of business performance targets.
Working closely with the Area Manager, you will help shape the future direction of the venue, lead and develop management teams, and ensure the highest standards of customer service, health and safety, and commercial performance are consistently delivered.
Lead and support the Duty Manager team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational standards.
Drive participation and income growth across Xcite's core products and programmes.
Monitor performance, analyse customer feedback, and implement improvements.
Support budget management and delivery of business targets.
Ensure health and safety compliance through audits, training, and best practice.
Build strong relationships with local sports clubs, community groups, and stakeholders.
Maximise use of facilities and identify new opportunities to increase activity and revenue.
Deputise for the Area Manager and provide leadership across the venue when required.
HNC/HND in Health & Fitness, Business Management, or equivalent.
At least 3 years' experience in a leisure management, duty management, or supervisory role.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Experience delivering excellent customer service and achieving KPIs.
Good understanding of health and safety within a leisure environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Pool Plant Operator Qualification.
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
First Aid at Work.
Experience with MRM360 or similar management systems.
Experience delivering training or coaching programmes.
