The movable pool floor at Deans High School has been out of use for some time due to a mechanical fault. We’ve been working closely with our partners at West Lothian Council and specialist maintenance contractors to arrange the necessary repairs.
We can now confirm that repair work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 10th March, and is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. During this period, the pool will be temporarily closed.
To minimise disruption, all Aqua classes and Learn to Swim lessons will be relocated while repairs take place. Please see below for full details of the temporary arrangements.
As it stands, these changes will remain in place until Wednesday 1st April. If we’re able to reopen the pool sooner than this however, we’ll post an update on our website and social channels, as well as contacting all affected lesson participants and class bookings direct with details.
Unfortunately, due to instructor availability, Monday's Aquafit classes will be cancelled on:
The Aquafit class scheduled for Tuesday 10th March will run as normal.
During the closure period, the Tuesday Aquafit classes will temporarily relocate to West Calder High School. These classes will take place at the slightly later time of 09:00–09:45 on the following dates:
The Aquazumba class scheduled for Wednesday11th March is unfortunately cancelled. All participants booked into this class will be contacted to confirm.
During the remainder of the closure period, the Wednesday Aquazumba classes will change to Aquafit, and will temporarily relocate to West Calder High School. These classes will take place at the slightly later time of 09:00–09:45 on the following dates:
All lessons that currently take place on a Tuesday will relocate to Xcite Bathgate for the duration of the closure. Lesson day, times and teachers will remain the same.
