Xcite Bathgate is a dynamic and vibrant facility offering a wide range of activities, including swimming, fitness classes, state of the art gym, kids coaching activities, racquet sports, golf course and much much more. We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Lifeguard / Duty Supervisor to join our team at Xcite Bathgate. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests while maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.  This is the ideal role for someone who has industry experience and is looking to take the next step with their career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lifeguard Duties:
  • Monitor pool activities to ensure safety for all swimmers.
  • Enforce all pool rules and regulations in a professional manner.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid  when necessary.
  • Maintain a vigilant presence at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Duty Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and be responsible to the building to ensure effective coordination during shifts.
  • Oversee the operation of the facility, ensuring cleanliness and operational safety.
  • Assist in the training, development, and mentoring staff.
  • Manage customer service and assist with any questions or concerns from the public.
  • Ensure that daily logs and reports are completed and up to date.
  • Handle emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a lifeguard or supervisory role (preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred but training can be provided).
