Following extensive planning and reviews of the gym facilities on offer, we are delighted to announce that works are well underway to extend both the space and the equipment offering at Xcite Linlithgow.

Our equipment partners, Technogym, will soon be installing new machines that will offer this gym state-of-the-art apparatus, including some new strength equipment that is not only new to Linlithgow but to the whole of Xcite!

If you currently use Xcite Linlithgow, you’ll know that work has already begun – the building works are due to be completed soon and the arrival and installation of new machines is scheduled for mid-May.  Staff training will then be completed before the new gym is re-opened to the public.

The Functional Training Suite in our gym will be closed from 13th May until 18th.  The entire gym will be closed FULLY on 16th and 17th May, reopening on 18th May with the gym fully refurbished!

We are so excited to share with you the progress of this exciting project that we will be giving you sneak peeks at the floor plans, the Technogym equipment, behind-the-scenes information and more over the next couple of weeks.

Come back to this story to stay updated - we will add different information in the lead up to the re-opening.

In the meantime, take a look at a couple of the new floor plans:

Extension update 07.05.24

One of the most exciting features of the extended gym will be the new Technogym equipment that will be installed.    There will be a range of machines which will work on Pure Strength, Cardio and Functional areas.

Users will find 11 new Pure Strength machines – never seen in Xcite Linlithgow before.  These include T Bar Row, Linear Leg Press, Standing Leg Curl, Incline Chest Press and more.   We are proud to announce that 2 of these new pieces of equipment will be brand new to Xcite – Linlithgow are the first venue to install Belt Squat and Deadlift kit.

Pure Belt Squat makes the squat exercise accessible to everyone. Users can ramp up or down the load curve throughout the movement (pictured below)

Pure Deadlift is a versatile, easy to use, and compact workout station. It enables a multitude of exercises with its multiple handles and the Bulgarian squat cushion (pictured below)

Xcite staff are looking forward to their Technogym training later in the month. They will learn how to use, and show customers how to use, these amazing new machines!

Extension update 10.05.24

As the time for our gym extension opening gets closer, we wanted to share with you another interesting piece of equipment coming to Xcite Linlithgow.  Technogym have created a new way to make working out on your own more interactive!

Visio is a display screen which can provide personal trainer guidance and a wealth of fitness content which will allow you to achieve your training goals on that specific piece of equipment!

It’s so new that we can’t even share images of it yet, but we are sure it’s going to be popular.

Extension update 15.05.24

The work is well under way in the gym area now for our extensions, which is due to be completed by the end of this week! We thought it would be good to give you a behind the scenes look at the area that is forming the extension…

Would you believe that we’ve been able to repurpose a large storage area to create an amazing area that’s going to be filled with the most up-to-date Technogym equipment? We are so excited to reveal it but, in the meantime, here are some pictures of how the works started. The walls are being painted, decorative panelling is going up and the floor being prepared for a new surface.
