As the days draw in and the temperature drops it is very tempting to hang up the gym gear and hibernate for the rest of the year. Don’t! If you stay active throughout the Autumn and Winter months it will help beat those seasonal blues and make you feel on top of the world!


Regular exercise will help make you feel more energetic and research has shown, it can help improve your immune system which can decrease the chance of getting coughs and colds. It is also very tempting to eat more during the colder months so exercising will help to manage weight and body shape!


Swimming is a great all round exercise. It is ideal if you want to stay active and healthy no matter your age or ability! Swimming regularly doesn’t only help boost your mood and help keep your weight under control but it helps reduce the risk of illnesses such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stoke.
