New fitness classes have started in West Lothian that are aimed at those in the community who lack confidence or have low fitness ability but have been recommend to exercise.
Paracise has helped hundreds of people get back into exercise due to it being uplifting and engaging. The class was designed by Sara Goldsack who was diagnosed in 2014 with muscular dystrophy; an inherited genetic condition that gradually causes the muscles to weaken. Sarah, who had been a fitness instructor for 30 years, was determined to remain as fit and active as possible and with her experience she created Paracise.
After experiencing life changing results herself, she has passed on her knowledge on by training fitness instructors throughout the UK so they can deliver Paracise too. The classes are now springing up throughout the country and Ageing Well at West Lothian Leisure Xcite have introduced numerous classes.
Paracise is gentle on the joints and focuses on posture, balance and mobility. It is designed to enhance and enrich those lives who have been recommended to do exercise but don’t know where to start. The gentle workout flows smoothly and helps improve muscle memory as well as both mental and physical well-being – its medication in the motion!
