Our FAQs will be updated over the coming weeks in response to Scottish Government announcement of an indicative open date of 14 September. There will be FAQs for each activity area to help answer your queries.

We hope the following FAQ's will help answer any queries your have.

Xcite 

What is going on with my membership whilst Xcite is closed?

All Xcite Memberships are frozen. You do not need to do anything else, we have automatically updated this for you. This means no payments will be taken until we re-open. We will contact you in advance of opening and re-activating your direct debit.

I am an annual member, what happens with my membership?

Your annual membership has been frozen and we will add on the missed time to your membership when we re-open. 

What is happening with my kids swimming lessons?

All kids blocked booked coached sessions, including swimming lessons, have been frozen and your current space will be held.

Will you contact me before Xcite re-opens?

Yes, we will be in touch with all our customers when we re-open.

How are you going to keep in touch with me?

We'll keep in touch via email, our social media facebook, twitter or instagram, notifications on the WLL Xcite App as well as posting latest news on our website.

I do not have an email address associated with my membership account how are you going to keep me up to date?

The best way to keep informed is by following us on facebook, twitter or instagram and checking our website. When we re-open we ask our customer to make sure you update your contact details at reception. 

I'd like to hire some training kit from you to use at home.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate this request. 

Are you going to be completing any improvements in Xcite before you re-open them?

No, we are unable to work within our venues during the period we are closed and in line with the Government’s instruction, our teams are staying at home. We are however looking at ensuring the safest practices are in place when we re-open our facilities. 

When do you expect to re-open Xcite?

We will follow the advice of the Government and open as soon as it is safe to, unfortunately we do not know an exact time frame.

Will my children still be enrolled in their usual swimming/gymnastic classes, same day and time, when you re-open.

All current spaces have been held. 

What about my block booking for football.

All club and sports block bookings will be frozen and held. Note any outstanding payments prior to closure will require payment. 

I'm due to attend one of your training courses.

Please note that all training courses will be temporarily suspended. Anyone who has booked on a course will be contacted by the Training Team to discuss options.

I have a birthday party booking with you - will it still go ahead?

We have contacted all parties booked in April and May. We will be in touch with future dated parties depending as and when we have a better idea of when we are re-opening. 

I cancelled my membership will I have to pay a joining fee when you re-open

We're asking members who cancelled in March or April 2020, due to the coronavirus, to change their cancellation to frozen membership - you can do this by submitting a few details here

I want to cancel my membership 

We are unable to process cancelled memberships due to only a small pocket of the team working. They will be focusing on Frozen and Donated membership. We will be in touch before we re-open and if you still want to cancel your membership we will be able to process then. 

Can I use the outdoor pitches or golf course

No, all our facilities are closed. This is due to Government guidelines and for your own safety. Please do not climb our fences to gain access to the pitches - it is not safe to do so.

Howden Park Centre

When do you expect to reopen the venue?

I have tickets for an upcoming show 

Please visit Howden's website here for latest update of reschedule shows. This will be update as and when we have any changes to our current programme.

My show has been rescheduled but I can't make that date

For those who have tickets to rescheduled shows your seats will be held for the new date. If you are unable to make the new date a full refund will be issued. Due to the closure of the venue we are at present unable to issue refunds but will be in touch directly when we re-open.

Low Port Centre

All activities and courses are cancelled until further notice.

Polkemmet Golf Course and Driving Range and Balbardie Park of Peace Golf Course

Is the golf course and driving range open?

YES - We are delighted to announce that Polkemmet Golf and Driving Range and the Golf Course at Xcite Bathgate will re-open on Friday 29 May 2020 in line with Scottish Government Guidelines. We have been working in the background to ensure that the facility is safe to open for both our customers and staff. Secondary Schools Bookings

Will my booking be held 

All bookings have been frozen and your current space will be held. An update will be released when we are able to re-open. We ask you not to contact Secondary School booking team, they will contact you when we re-open. Note we will be requesting payment for any outstanding payments prior to the 20 March 2020.
