Do you want to improve your overall health and don’t know where to start? If you are new to exercise or have struggled to get motivated in the past, here are a few simple steps on how to incorporate exercise in to your daily life:


• Walking up the stairs instead of taking the lift.
• Parking the car further away from the main entrance.
• Join the gym and aim for a 30 minute aerobic workout (swimming, dancing or jogging) at least 3 times a week.
• It is also good to write down your weekly goals so you can stay focused and motivated as research has shown that setting goals will help you stick to your plan!


It is advised to do at least 150 minutes of exercise a week to help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure. For those who want to lose weight but not change their diet it is recommended to do 45-60 minutes of exercise a day. It is important to find a type of exercise that suits your lifestyle and goals so you stay focused! Whether that means the going to the gym, dancing, jogging or swimming!
