At Xcite we are committed to promoting a healthy, active lifestyle within our community where everyone can live a healthier, happier, longer life.     As our largest venue, Xcite Linlithgow offers the full Xcite range!  Situated on the edge of Linlithgow, just off the canal cycle track, Xcite Linlithgow boasts a 20m swimming pool complemented by a sauna, steam room, and splash pool for the little ones with a busy Learn 2 Swim programme.  The Xcite Linlithgow team deliver an extensive programme of group fitness classes from four indoor studios, coaching courses for children in sports like hockey, gymnastics and swimming, plus outdoor education and activities through the Xcite Outdoors programme.  Xcite Linlithgow is also home to the brand-new West Lothian Cycle Circuit, a world-class community outdoor circuit, fenced and flood lit for safe all year-round use.   At the heart of our venue is our busy café where our customers unwind and refuel.   We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our members and visitors.

The Role:

We’re passionate about serving delicious food, quality coffee and providing a welcoming atmosphere.  We’re on the lookout for positive, friendly and motivated part-time Café Assistants to help us create a memorable experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a range of simple hot and cold meals, drinks, sandwiches and snacks
• Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning duties
• Actively promote the healthy eating agenda.
• Maintain vending machine stock and operation
• Actively promote and sell products and services
• Conduct stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in and around the café area
• Undertake administrative functions and maintain accurate records
• Carry out general tasks including routine maintenance and cleaning duties
