Tim Dent, Chief Executive
Tim Dent is Chief Executive at West Lothian Leisure. He has over 30 years sport and leisure management experience encompassing operations, strategic and project management. Furthermore, he has a Masters Degree in Sport and Leisure Management and is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity. Tim leads a passionate and experienced team to ensure that West Lothian Leisure delivers its vision of getting more people more active and participating in cultural activities, so that everyone can enjoy a healthier, happier and longer life.
Prior to joining the team, Tim ran his own sport and leisure management consultancy and has held senior roles with EventScotland, Midlothian Council and Bannatyne’s Fitness. A career highlight was project managing the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles and 2014 Year of Homecoming.
In his spare time, Tim is a keen road cyclist, sports fan and gig goer.
