The athletics track has recently been re-surfaced, the major changes have included –
- Re-surfacing of the existing track to provide a high quality surface for athletes of all abilities to use.
- A new throwing cage to replace the old structure that had to be dismantled a few years back.
- Updated Long jump and Shot Put areas.
- A spectator area developed at the finish line.
- A refurbished high jump area.
- Purchase of new equipment to augment the track re-development.
The track is available for customers to use on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. Wednesday and Friday nights are given over to private hire club nights. In addition, the track is available for use at weekends.
Please note there is a dedicated private hire throwing session booked out between 4.00-6.00pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Due to the nature of this booking, the track will be closed during these hours.
